ASK SKILL SHARING DAY ~ Pass It On! ~

Come and have a chill, fun, creative and meaningful day where you can choose from a selection of inter-active workshops and insightful talks.
ASK Skill Sharing Day -- the annual fundraiser for Adoptee Solidarity Korea, this year with a new spin. The event is a skills-sharing workshop that aims to showcase the resources, knowledge and skills the Korean adoptee community can offer in various fields.
Each workshop will be facilitated by an adoptee and will run from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. See our blog for more about the fundraiser, the organizers and a list of confirmed workshop presenters and topics: www.askfundraiser.wordpress.com

EVENT DETAILS *This event is open to the adoptee community, expats and local Korean people interested in creative expression and social change. *There is a minimum donation of 10,000 won requested. The event is free for ASK members (yearly membership is 20,000 won). *Each participant will be entered into a raffle with a grand prize of the new Google Nexus 7 tablet PC. *Prizes also include certificates for restaurants and services. Additional raffle tickets will also be for sale on site. *A Free the Girls campaign donation box will be set up to collect bras to be resold by women rescued from sex trafficking: http://thecnnfreedomproject.blogs.cnn.com/2012/02/22/bras-liberate-women-from-sex-slavery/
*Directions This venue for this event is the Haja Creative Hub, part of the “Seoul Youth Factory for Alternative Culture” located in Seoul’s Yeongdeungpo District. From Yeongdeungpo Office Station (영등포구청역), line 2, go out exit 4. Walk straight for 110 meters and turn right at the big street, then go straight for 650 meters. ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER ASK’s annual fundraiser supports yearly operating costs such as fees for forum speakers and venues, translation and interpretation and website upkeep. All ASK members work on a volunteer basis. It is organized by Adoptee Solidarity Korea in partnership with Haja Creative Hub.
